Descrizione [in inglese]: Our stay at the Trip Hostel in Rio was perfect in every way. The owner, Fausto Lopes, has only been open a short time, however, most of it is absolutely bang on, and we were wanting for nothing. The house is set in a beautiful bohemian part of town, called Santa Teresa. The beach is great, but the cobbled streets, old architecture and street life of Santa Teresa is something speacial. If you want to go to the beach then there are many buses to carry you there. We felt like family for a course of our stay, and were treated to hospitality beyond the cause. Make sure when (not if) you stay there that you ask for one of his caipirinas, with his father Cachasa, awesome! Welcome to Rio, welcome to Trip Hostel. This is a completely unique hostel, different to any you may have seen before. Located in a beautiful old victorian house which has been completely renovated to it’s former glory. It shows intricate antique architecture in a beautiful arts district, this is coupled with high quality infra-structure on your door step. There is no doubt that staying here your trip will be a real TRIP. Trip Hostel is situated in the bohemian neighbourhood of Santa Teresa, in a house surrounded by trees, where it is possible to view a variety of birdlife and also little monkeys. This is all in addition to the excellent decoration throughout, big rooms, several common areas, big terrace and cozy environment. Beside that Trip Hostel is very well located in Santa Teresa, within walking distance from Lapa, the best nightlife in the city, with a lot of samba and bossa nova clubs and bars. There is a bus stop in front of the hostel, which, in turn, is integrated with the subway that will take you to the beach in 20 minutes. Best of all the world famous yellow tram called ¨bondinho¨ picks up just outside our gates. All this makes Trip Hostel the best option in Rio de Janeiro. Trip Hostel was created by a ¨Carioca¨ (the term given to people born in Rio) couple, who know all about Rio de Janeiro and are ready to show you the marvellous city from a local view and not a touristic one. We are more than happy to assist you with all the information and knowledge about Rio you could require, that is why we speak English, German, Italian, Spanish, Hungarian and Portuguese.
