Located in the cultural heart of Rio de Janeiro, we are not only the biggest hostel in Rio de Janeiro but also the most unique place where you can immerse yourself in the deep culture, history, music and life of this cidade marvilhosa. We have approximately 116 vacancies in total, as well as a large gallery, a multimedia room, bistro, sauna, massage/relaxation room and kitchen. We also offer many other facilities including the hire of bicycles, excursions, entry to concerts, theatres, parties and other specific courses for travellers including 'The History of Brazilian Art' and 'The History of Brazilian Architecture'. The hostel is a beautiful old redeveloped building from the end of the 19th Century, and situated just over the road from the gardens of Catete Palace. We are only a 15 minute walk from the Arches of Lapa, Cinelândia and Flamengo, from where you can visit Sugar Loaf (Pão de Açúcar) and Christ the Redeemer. The most important museums of Rio are all in the cultural corridor a short walk away via Rua do Catete which is only a stones throw from the hostel. The Imperial Museum, The oi Museum of the Future, the Municial Theatre and The Academia Brasileira de Letras are located here. Our staff are very knowledgable about all of these diversions and happy to assist you in whatever way we can. The space is perfect for artists and inspired travellers alike to meet other openminded people from all over the world.
