Description : Venice hotel rates can seem expensive, especially for students and other travelers on a budget. Not to worry--the Ostello Venezia, offers cheap accommodations in a waterfront location that's easy to reach from St. Mark's Square, the Piazzale Roma, or the railroad station by public water bus. The youth hostel is open year-round. Ostello Della Gioventú in Venice is part of the Hostelling International association of Hostels in Italy. The Hostel is beautifully located in an ancient, refurbished grain store on Giudecca Island in the heart of Venice. Palladian churches, the Doge's Palace, the bridge of Sighs and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection are all within easy reach. The Youth Hostel has 269 beds and facilities include meals, tv room, common rooms, tourist information, luggage store for members, lockers. --- PLEASE NOTE --- If you are not a Member of Hostelling International there is an extra charge of €3 per person per night. Once you have stayed 6 nights at a HI Hostel you become a HI member, and no extra charges apply for future stays for one year and remember that this Card could be used in 120 Hostels in Italy and in thousands of hostels around the world!!
